Resurrection Vision

Colossians 3:3-4 says, “For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.” Sometime we think of Jesus on the cross and only see that He died for our sin. We struggle to accept the power of the resurrection. Like the disciples, we won’t believe in the resurrection until we have a divine encounter, a vision of the resurrected Christ. Christ’s death seems so real, yet His resurrection power and life are a reality beyond our comprehension. We have to ask for a revelation of what it means for Christ’s resurrection power to encounter all the dead things in our lives.
Beyond cleansing us of sin, Jesus also died that we would have life. He arose from the dead that we would arise from our past and move forward free from the power of sin and death. It is this life that many struggle to accept because we need a vision of the risen Christ. We need to come to understanding that our lives are hidden in Him. Without this revelation, we may never come to believe the fullness of Christ’s work on the cross. We can’t make this revelation happen in our heart. But we can ask God for it and stop looking to ourselves for the answers. This is a call for some in the Church church to realize what the empty tomb really means for their lives.
